DWI Services

These services are only offered at our Taylorsville, N.C. loaction.

CASA – Taylorsville

121 E. Main Ave.  828-989-7763

If you have been charged with a DWI, your lawyer may recommend getting ahead of the legal process by obtaining a DWI assessment. This may help you in the process of obtaining a limited driving privilege. Once convicted, if you have not already done so, receiving an assessment and completing recommended classes/treatment is required in order to regain your driver’s license.

At CASA, we provide confidential DWI assessments that meet the requirements as set forth by the state of NC. We respect your busy schedule, and offer day, evening and weekend appointments. Please allow for 1 ½ hours to complete the assessment.

At the conclusion of the assessment, one of our licensed professional counselors will make a recommendation, based on the criteria set by North Carolina DWI statues and the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). Recommendations may include participation in Alcohol and Drug Education Traffic School (ADETS) or completion of short or long-term substance abuse treatment groups, which we offer on site.

Per NC law, it is your right to obtain your DWI assessment and treatment at any licensed DWI provider in the state. If you have obtained your assessment at another facility, you are still welcome to complete your recommended classes and/or treatment with CASA. Likewise, if you complete your assessment with us, and choose to complete your classes/treatment elsewhere, we will provide that facility with the needed information in a professional and expedient manner.  It is our belief that all persons deserve courteous and quality care, and we are here to help.

On the date of your assessment, please bring the following items:

Traffic Citation can be obtained from the Clerk of Court

Certified copy of your DMV record – can be obtained from the DMV. It must be no older than 30 days. For an additional $10.00 charge, CASA can obtain this for you.

Court Judgment (if convicted) – can be obtained from the Clerk of Court. If you have not yet been convicted, you will not need this item.

Assessment fee of $100.00 – cash or credit card accepted.
