Donald L. Farris, MA, LPCS

DonFarrisDon began counseling in 1991, following several years pastoring churches in North Carolina. As a minister, he found that he particularly enjoyed working with people one on one. The decision to enter the field of counseling seemed a natural extension of his pastoral work. Don earned LPC certification in 1997. He has developed a great deal of expertise in Domestic Violence Counseling (Batterers Intervention Program); and Substance Abuse Treatment. In addition, Don is adept at Child, Adolescent and Adult Counseling; Family/Couples Counseling; and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Counseling.

Don earned his Masters Degree in Special Education/Counseling from Lenoir Rhyne University. He is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a North Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He is also an approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS); a Certified Criminal Justice Addiction Professional, a Nationally Certified School Counselor (NCSC), and an ordained minister.
